Corey Heichel is a certified Physician Assistant with 15 years of medical experience, the majority of which has been dedicated to rheumatology. He brings a strong foundation in both specialty and emergency medicine, giving him a uniquely broad clinical lens when evaluating and managing complex rheumatologic conditions.

Before relocating to Orlando, Corey served as a Rheumatology Specialist at Carolina Health Specialists in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Earlier in his career, he worked as a full-time Emergency Medicine PA at Mercy Clermont Hospital and Mercy Mt. Orab Hospital in southern Ohio, and provided primary care at Generations Family Medicine in Gahanna, OH.

CLINICAL EXPERTISE

Corey specializes in the evaluation and management of inflammatory arthritis and rheumatologic disorders. His emergency medicine background adds clinical acuity to the recognition of acute rheumatologic presentations and systemic complications. He is experienced in musculoskeletal ultrasound applications in rheumatology, having contributed to published research on ultrasound-guided procedures and biologic therapy decision-making.
