Dr. Luis Ramos, Rheumatologist

Dr. Ramos earned his medical degree from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Lima, Peru. He then came to the United States and completed his residency in internal medicine at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, and a fellowship in rheumatology and clinical immunology at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

Dr. Ramos has over twenty years of experience as a practicing rheumatologist. In addition to his practice, he earned his certification in medical humanities from Drew University in 1998, was certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and received board certification in the Rheumatology subspecialty. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Ramos served academic preceptorships for the physician assistant school at Barry University in Miami and Florida State University in Tallahassee, and the nurse practitioner program at the University of South Florida. He enjoys research and has been published in Rheumatology International and The Journal of Ultrasound Medicine. Dr. Ramos dedicates his practice to ease the pain and suffering of his patients through compassionate and skillful care.
